About Rho Chapter
Rho Chapter was founded October 23, 1943 and serves Williamson County. Two public school districts – Franklin Special School District and Williamson County School System – along with several private schools serve students in Williamson County. Students in these schools are proud to be among those students with the highest academic achievement in the state of Tennessee. The chapter currently has 66 active members, 7 initiates, and 3 reserve members.
The chapter actively supports educational initiatives that benefit students and teachers. To this end, the Chapter sponsors financial assistance to pre-service teachers, early career educators, and professional development support for its members.
Rho Chapter is a member of Tennessee State Organization. We continue to seek ways to help promote professional and personal growth for women educators and to be proactive in supporting excellence in education. Rho Chapter and Tennessee State Organization are members of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.:
